"This class is for you if you are a beginner looking for a guided linear progression, an experienced glover looking to work on foundations that they have been trying to correct for years, or someone looking to improve on storytelling, technique, theory, concept crafting, and cinematography.

After gloving for 10 years, I am still looking for new ways to improve myself. I recently took a class with Puppet because I was frustrated with being unable to achieve certain personal goals that I have with my style. After taking his class, I feel as if I am relearning to glove again and I mean this in a good way. I wish this was the stuff that someone was there to teach me when I first started as 16 year old who had no one to share or guide him through this hobby. It is hard as someone doing this for so long to break old habits and replace them but every inch I get closer feels like an accomplishment.

The best part of Kevin’s classes is learning simple tips and tricks that seem elusive until it is plainly spoken. Kevin is also interested in catering to each student as an individual, asking that they bring their own questions and taking the time to ask them about themselves to better understand their worldview and how it influences their gloving. "I was lucky enough to get into IM academy when I was a year into gloving and the stuff Kevin taught me there helped me level up like crazy. He does more than just show you a concept and how to do it. Kevin will take the time to really breakdown the concept for you and make it applicable to different aspects of gloving as well.

Being able to pick kevs mind about gloving is also great for anyone trying to improve. Talking with him really helps you expand your idea of what gloving is. You will definitely learn how to move your fingers better, but the knowledge you gain about the intangible things like musicality, presence, and showmanship is priceless.

The best part of learning from Kevin though is seeing how much he genuinely loves gloving. He wants people to get better and does his absolute best to try to cater to each individual person to help them become the best they can be. When you take a lesson with Kevin, you're not only gonna just redefine what you want out of gloving. Kevin will help you discover what aspects of Gloving truly are and how you perceive them in how it is at it's core basis. You will learn what cleanliness means whether it means on execution level for symmetry. You will learn grid work on like how it is for a point for different types of movement. Whatever it is you want, Kevin will define a curriculum or style of teaching that you would want to learn from him. I think the best aspects of Kevin when he teaches is when you request certain shows off you. When you send the shows to Kevin, Kevin will break down your shows, move for move whether it be your energy, your execution, cleanliness, concepts or even how you approach the show. So again, if you're going with Kevin, you're gonna learn so much. You will have a new view on how to approach your gloving journey.

If you are looking into pursuing gloving, Kevin is the guy to go. Prior to the lesson, he has you fill a form with a few questions such as, “what do you want to learn from this lesson?” before contacting you about scheduling. Be sure to be specific on what you want so he can develop a game plan to help you achieve your goals! When it came time for the lessons (2 hours for me), I was nervous but Kevin shortly made me comfortable with his awesome sense of humor! He not only thoroughly explains what you want to learn, but also provides demonstrations and concepts on how to build and create moves of your own. Upon completing my lesson (January 17, 2023), not only has my creativity and cleanliness improved, but I’ve gained a mass amount of confidence in my shows again! I would highly recommend anyone, regardless of skill level, to book a session with Kevin for sure!
